Alabama Athlete Agent Bond

The Alabama Secretary of State requires all agents of athletes to to obtain an athlete agent bond. This bond ensures the agents follow the regulations stipulated by the secretary of state and that they work ethically ensuring the athletes are not taken advantage of. In case the agent doesn’t meet their expectations, the athlete can file a claim with the Secretary of State against the agent. The surety company which offered the bond will then compensate the athlete up to the amount of the bond. The bond requirement in Alabama is worth $25,000. The amount of premiums you pay depends on your creditworthiness with the amounts ranging from $250-$2000 annually.
